Talent Show Info:

Thompsons Stations Got Talent!  Thompsons Station United Methodist Church will host the first annual Thompson’s Station Talent Show at the  “2011 Thompsons Station United Methodist Church Craft Fair”.  The event will be held Saturday September 17^th at 1 PM.  The talent show is open to ages 4 -19.  There will be two age groups with a first prize cash awards of $75 for Juniors and $100 for Teens.  For additional information and an application please visit the TSUMC website www.tsumc.com  or call the numbers above.

 

Cole Puryear Children’s Home

As you know this loving 7 year old child went to be with Christ after suffering a stroke. In the spirit of love and giving Cole’s passing brought renewed life to 6 recipients.

In December a commitment was made  to spread the word of God to the people and children of Jamaica. And now with gracious donations Cole’s memory and loving ways will live on through the Cole Allen Puryear Children’s Home. The land is located near the Martha Brae River, the Riverside Baptist Church and the Basic School of Martha Brae. This school has 4 teachers, one cook and 50 little children ages 3-6 years old. The Cole Allen Puryear Home will house 10 boys and 10 girls who are orphans.  A great need exist for more homes for orphans in this area. There is enough land on this site for 3 homes. The cost of this home is $80,000. Your help is needed. As this mission progresses, updates will be given. We are pleased to be a part of this mission.
